For more than three decades, Captain Mel True has navigated the waters off Massachusetts and Rhode Island in pursuit of New England's most prized gamefish. His full-time mobile charter operation, Fishnet Charters, doesn't wait for the fish to come to him — he trails his 26' Goldline Center Console daily to wherever the bite is hottest.
A published writer whose work has appeared in the region's top fishing magazines, Capt. True is also a professional photographer whose images have graced magazine covers and national advertisements. He serves on the Pro Staff of multiple fishing companies and actively develops and field-tests the industry's most innovative products.
Known throughout the fishing community for consistently putting anglers on trophy-sized fish, Captain Mel is respected not only for his skill on the water, but for his commitment to true sportsmanship and conservation.
